Cyclocross - Motobecane Fantom Cross sizing ?

Looking at BikesDirect Motobecane Fantom Cross..need help with sizing...
I'm 6'1, 36" cycling inseam....stuck between the 58 and 61...thinking 61.
Any advice is appreciated...

I'm 6'-0" with a 30" inseam and ride a 56cm, so I'd say you need the 61 cm. But I could be wrong.

If you're unsure of your sizing, or unwilling to take a bit of a leap of faith, you may want to consider purchasing from an LBS. It sucks being on a bike that isn't your size, especially when you're stuck with it.

That being said, I sized myself and bought online. Make sure you run a few different fit calculators to find out your general frame size.

I just bought a Fantom Cross Uno in a 56 also after test riding the 54 at the shop and finding it to be too cramped.

I bought it from Cycle Spectrum in Orlando FL. They are a chain of shops that sell BD bikes with the positive that you can actually try the goods out before making the purchase which was why I didn't mind paying the sales tax to be able to go out and test ride the bike first instead of gambling with BD.

Any shops locally carry the Fuji cross bikes that have the same frame at the Moto Fantoms? I was able to ride the Fuji at a Performance shop before I bought mine.

I'm 6'3" with a 36" inseam. I've got a 61cm Fantom Cross Outlaw and it fits me well. I've got a bit less standover on it though than on my 61cm TriCross, but it's not enough to make me nervous.

You might find the top tube to be a bit long for you -- I replaced my stem with a higher angle stem to bring the bars up and a bit back.
