Classic and Vintage Bicycles: What's it Worth? Appraisals and Inquiries - Bike Newbie

I recently inherited a eddy merckx corsa 01 bike. I am not an avid rider but would like to know about this particular bike. I ooked all over the web but haven't found one quite like mine. It is a corsa 01, black frame w/hand painted em's and logos. Also, there are stickers denoting a special paint protection, esp. designed for eddy merckx, and a sticker denoting the frame make-up. I wrote to the factory and got no reply. Please help.

If you are not an avid biker, an Eddie can make you one.
If you don't intend to be one, putting that Eddie up for sale will have you fending them off...

You should have no problem at all selling it. CL should be the best local option.
If you list it as an Eddie Merckx, it will go fine.

I'd list it at $1000 and see what happens. This thread has plenty of EM riders. I have no idea why they haven't chimed in. I'd love it, it's my size.

Might be the tilte of this thread: Bike Newbie. Change the title to Eddie Merckx Corsa 01 Valuation? and I would expect more commentary. Its definitely out of my range, so I cannot even guess value.

Agreeing with my western NC colleage. I don't know if you can change a thread name. I'd just start a new one with what he says.... And he and I, out of our league, will gracefully bow out....

The tubing used, based on the decal, is Dedacciai 18MCDV6. This is a really superb tube set.
