I ride and enjoy a Rocket. I'd not hesitate to ride it on long credit card tours but packing gear which keep weight low would give me pause. The small tires just don't give you much room.

That said, someone is likely on the road right now with their Rocket and a full collection of gear.

I've toured on a RANS rocket, loaded with gear. It would have been nice to have the underseat rack as well though. I had a tent and sleeping bag strapped to the rear rack and two panniers. It was fine for touring but all the weight on the rear made the front a bit twichy.

A rocket is a nice little bike for touring on. It's comfortable and the once I'd lowered the stock gearing by putting a 11 - 34 mega-range rear cassette on I could climb all the hills I encountered. I would recommend getting the underseat rack which will hold front panniers so that you can get the weight lower and more centralised.

I have found that for small wheeled bents I prefer suspension to deal with our horrible chipseal however and have since sold my rocket.
