I've sort of been mountain biking for the last year or so and i was interested in purchasing a new bike. I have a really crappy department store dual suspension bike that i thought looked really cool at the time, but now i've realized that #1, it's way too heavy (over 40lbs.) and #2, the niether the front supsension nor the rear are effective at all. I've been looking at the Hardrock line, mainly the Hardrock Sport because i don't have that much cash to spend (i can get a hardrock sport for $500 in Canada). I've heard that the frame can take a lot of abuse and the bike is worth the money. So what does everyone here think? I will mainly be doing XC and street riding and i weigh about 130lbs. Would the bike be heavy or light for me? any feedback would be appreciated..

This question has been asked too many times. Yes it's a good bike. For a more detailed answer or to see previous discussions, there is a search function at the top tool bar. Type in Hardrock and read away!

No worries mate, we just get asked that about 10 times a week.

Welcome to the forums.

Enjoy and good luck.

Also remember, when you do get a new bike, it is "suggested" you post a picture, preferably a muddy one!
