Heya all, I have recently acquired my first bike since I was a child and started poking around for some info on bike accessories etc and stumbled upon this forum and thought I would join up. I have recently lost a ton of weight (not literally obviously but its more than 200 pounds, yes two hundred pounds that's not a typo lol) and I did it by walking/running and riding a stationary bike so in a basic progression am moving onto a normal bike, I bought a K2 Zed 3.2 and just took it out for her maiden voyage this morning in fact and man did it kick my behind! literally! I think a new seat will be in order sooner than later ;)

I am a father of 2 and a husband to a lovely lady and I think that biking can help me progress further into my weight loss regimen while adding range and a change of scenery as well as a bit of cross training to add to my walking/running program.

I am looking forward to gaining lots of knowledge that will help my biking and that's me in a nutshell.

Thanks for reading

Welcome Push!

Congratulations on the weight loss!

Check out the Clydesdale forum whether you are still over 200 pounds or not, you will find some kindred spirits there.

Also, on the saddle, it sometimes takes a while to get used to a saddle, but each person also has personal preferences for saddles, so it could well be that the saddle you have isn't suited to your posterior. I personally like Brooks saddles.
