What is wrong with people? Isn't this auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=27947&item=3682836731&rd=1#ShippingPayment) a little high for a Trek 820?

Considering the retail is $249, yeah it's too high. But I bet he sells it for more than that too.

Can't blame the seller, though. It started with a one-dollar opening bid. 45 bids later, it is more than retail. Couple of bidders letting their competitive nature run away with them?

The bike's in very good condition. It doesn't surprise me and you still have to pay for shipping! If you're looking for a bargain, stay away from the name brand bikes like Trek or Giant. It would not surprise me if there were shills bidding the price up.

How about this auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=42319&item=3683683051&rd=1) for a seatpost. I guess that's one way to get noticed.

I think it's the 20 pictures that makes it look so appealing that you would spend more than the bike is worth!!!

I can't think that is such a great strategy. The pictures are so small on the listing page that it really doesn't draw you in and if you do actually click on it, the breasteses (breast a suz) only take your eye and mind off of the product. He ought to be selling pictures of that chic if he was really wanting to make money. :D

I think the guy that put up the 20 pictures or whatever is a lot smarter. Now the auction is over $300. That is nuts. I just bought an older Trek 820 last week for $150 total including shipping. (ebay also) The 820 I got wasn't new but is in perfect shape and a MUCH better deal.
