Commuting - my mtb conversion
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

i thought i should upload a picture of my bike. this is the bike that was stolen from me and quickly recovered by the LAPD. After getting it back, I flipped the stem and had a rigid fork put in. I think some may find it somewhat odd looking, but its more recognizable than ever. Hopefully thats a deterrent but just in case, I picked up a NY Fahgettaboudit U-Lock off amazon. I'm thinking of maybe putting some 28-559 tires to further imitate a road bike, just worried I'll regret it and wish I'd gone for some 50mm Big Apples.

dont forget to repack the wheel bearings.
the best way to make your bike fast is keeping all the moving parts regularly cleaned and lubed.
i learned that only after i replaced the tires and fork on my mountain bike.
