Hello All,
I just joined the site. I live in the Hudson Valley region of New York State, a great area for riding.
I restarted riding last summer after a 10 year break. This Spring, I turned 50 and quit a 35 year "pack a day" habit. I turned to the bike for therapy. I am riding a 1990 Giant OCR converted to a flatbar. The bike is more of an Inbred than a Hibred and features a Campy derailer dragging the chain over a Shimano 8 speed cassette, and thats not the half of it. Currently I am riding about 20 miles every week day and working on longer loops on the weekend. As my lungs clear I see my avg MPH climbing and I'm now running nearly 14.5 mph avg over the last 235 miles.

I will not clutter the intro thread any futher, Im sure I will have questions but I will spend some time reading.
Spencer
