I believe these are the rims my lbs recomended that I put on my 3900......along with some other parts (not sure exactly what...fairly new to the jargon).
He was concerned with the the stock wheels and discounted them off the order and ordered these which he said some of the local serious riders have used to great sucess.
I'm having trouble finding anything on the web about them?
Anyone have any experience with them or a link to the manf.?

It is likely they are sun Rhino-Lite rims built onto a set of aluminum hubs - often available from distributors and marketed as a very tough alternative to stock wheels.
They are generally good quality parts, but the main culprit behind many wheel failures (esp. for big riders) is shoddily built and tensioned wheels, regardless of how good the wheel parts are.

I called the shop today to see if the bike order went in okay....they checked...bike should be here Wednesday or Thursaday....I'll be riding next weekend!!!!
He said the wheels were a distributor item, just as you suspected. I hope they do well.

Sun Lite (if that's the way it's spelled) is a house brand for J & B Imports, one of the major supply houses for LBSs. If your LBS thought the stock wheels were not stout enough, he may know that J & B's stuff is a little heavier duty, probably at the expense of light weight.
That's just me shooting outta my butt though, based on stuff I've heard at my LBS.
