Hello all you bike enthusiast, I'm new to this forum so please bear with me. I recently transfered to a college nearby and with the MTA fare hike I decided to start commuting to school on bike. I'm looking to buy a bike right now for around $300 +/- $50, and I've done my research and I already know that I am really pushing my luck but I figure I'd just get a used bike. My trail is pretty much just pavement, a straight shot about half hour on bike, I'm estimating. These are my choices right now:

I know these bikes aren't high end models, but I'm a college student and I'm paying for this bike myself and I also have to save up money for books and tuition so I can't really afford to splurge. I really appreciate you taking time to read and help me out! If you have any other suggestions for bikes or anything else please feel free to comment.
Thank You!
