In our family it starts off in BMX, then goes to all other facets of cycling from there. Here's my 7 yr. old nephew learning the ropes. My brother doesn't know, but I'm secretly teaching him BMX trick riding. I've already taken him to Lake Cunningham Park in San Jose and he's riding the bowls. :)

He's pretty handy with a MTB, too.
