I am finishing up the replacement parts gathering stage of the restoration on my Viscount Aerospace Pro. The bike came with, and still has, Fibrax 269 brake pads.
First, the only place I can find them for sale is Fibrax in the UK and they do not ship to the USA.
Second, they also want about US $8.25 ea for the pads.
This will not be my daily rider but more of a Sunday rider bike for me. I am using the vintage aluminum rims on the bike. Is there a period looking brake pad that isn't near that expensive that is recommended?
Here is a pic of the 35 year old OEM pads.
