I finally bought a digital camera, and finally found the time to take some pics of my bike today. Here are a couple of the better ones:

http://pictures.sultanik.com/albums/iro/cimg0034.sized.jpg (http://pictures.sultanik.com/iro/cimg0034)
I need to find some bar tape that matches the saddle a bit better. I am also thinking about switching the brake lever for a MTB-style one.
Suzue Pro Max hubs (http://pictures.sultanik.com/iro/cimg0067) mated to Velocity Deep Vee rims (without machined sidewall) and Selle Italia Flite Titanium saddle. The rest of the components really aren't noteworthy.
The rest of the pics can be found here (http://pictures.sultanik.com/iro/).

It feels great when I am wearing bike shorts, but it seems a bit too hard when I am just wearing normal pants. I think I still need to tweak its position a bit. All in all I am very happy, but I don't have very extensive saddle experience.

May I ask where you purchased the Deep V non machined rims and for how much? I am thinking with of a new wheelset and those rims would be great for riding brakeless.

I actually had Tony from IRO build them for me. When I was talking to him over the phone, I told him that I was planning on making as much of the bike black as possible (except for the drops and saddle). He told me that he had the rims in stock, and I jumped on it. I wanted him to use the IRO hubs, but they were out of stock so he upgraded me to the Suzues for free :D I actually don't know the exact price of the rims because they were bundled with the frame, et cetera, but they were probably about $50. One thing to note, though, is that the wheelset arrived dangerously under-tensioned, and I immediately had to get it re-trued. I didn't really complain, though, because I got the Suzue Pro Max hubs cheap.

talk to Marcus @ YoJimbos as I believe he can get those (I believe I remember a set in there once...).
Very nice machine. Those wheels really complete the look.

Looks really good. Those wheels are awesome. I have been thinking about building a set of wheels with all black rims, and after looking at the pics I can't wait to start on the project.

I never had the oportunity to go down to Yojimbo's before and this seems like a good excuse. Once I get a steady source of income again, I'll head down there. My stealth bike project is nearing completion. :D

I really do dig that bike, I think it's quite the bang for the buck right now. If only I needed another bike. :)

Spring Garden street bridge, between 32nd street and the art museum (right by the ramp to the Schuylkill expressway).

are those rims anodized or powdercoated? what happens when you use that front brake you have set up? that front rim could look reeeal ugly reeeeeal fast. can it even effectively brake on a powder coated surface anyway?

They look as if they are powdercoated.

I don't know; I've only had to use the brake once so far, and only for a couple seconds.

I was scared of that too, but with the amount of times I actually need to use it I don't think it is any problem. It does seem to brake adequately. If anything, I think the brake pads would leave a residue on the rim, rather than the rim losing some paint. In fact, I've seen a couple geared/road bikes lately that have rims with similar non-machined sidewalls, so I'd guess that this is not a problem.

you are probably thinking of the new 'ceramic' fad. those rims are designed to be braked on, though.
but actually those rims look very nice. i am thinking about getting some aeroheads without machined sidewalls. my phil wood hubs just arrived today... :)

I got an email response from Velocity re: Deep V's with non-machined sidewalls. They have 700c 28hole in stock and the 700c 32 hole will be stocked in early August.
