Huntsville Alabama's Alleycat race was last saturday. Started at 9:00 PM. 50+ people.
Pictured is "Team Brown Eye" That's me on the right.

A few action pics, but mostly just people.

First Stop, UAH. You and your teammate are a human wheelbarrow with a BMX tire and pegs.

Second stop, flying monkey art co-op. Obstacle course on kiddy bikes.

Third stop, voodoo lounge bar.

Fourth stop, LBS. Obstacle course holding a cup of water without spilling. Ended with a harrowing plywood see-saw.

Fifth stop, After party.

Most likely, team brown eye would have won if it weren't for two nasty goofs. First off, my partner dropped his light when hitting the diagonal train tracks. Second one was much more fun. We were pretty sure we had heard rumors that we had to ride through the bar. The way the route was, it was easier to come in through the back door and that's what we did. We didn't want the team that was just with us to go through the front door and run into us, so we convinced them to do the same!! Ends up all you needed to do was check in at the front door!

Nice sized bike scene around here. Too bad work is taking me back to Auburn.

I missed this one. Were you there for critical mass the night before with DJ bike and blender bike making margaritas?

Yep. Good times. People brought some great food. I felt like a mooch though because I didn't know I was supposed to bring anything. I'll just go all-out next time. Even if I take that job in Auburn, I think I'll make it back up here for this weekend event. Maby I'll tour it.

Looks like fun!

I used to ride with a group <sniff I miss them> on Thursday nights - called Tour de Bar (used to have a website too) where we'd leave the top of a high reservoir at 10 pm, full lights, ride down the face of the hill, hit some fast trails, couple of parking garages or constructions sites for some fun, then hit a bar for a pitcher (there were sometimes 20 of us riding) and then do that all over again. One by one, the guys dropped out - wives, kids (I was the only girl to ride with them) and the younger crowd never quite joined in.

Miss it - it was pretty wild.
