I have never sold a bike before and I would appreciate any suggestions for an asking price.

Its a 1998 Giant ATX 880 (in very good shape)

-Cu 92 Aluminum frame (no dents)
-Mavic 220 wheels
-Mixture of SRAM 7.0 and Shimano Deore LX components (SRAM twist shift, front and rear derailleurs. Shimano Deore LX hubs)
-New tires

My guess is that the frame itself would be worth about $200 - $300, but I don't know what I should be asking for the entire bike.

Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks

Honestly dude, the technology of MTN bikes changes as fast as that of computers. In other words what you have is a dinosaur. I myself really like older bikes, but I am strange. You will be very lucky if you get 200 for the complete bike.

If indeed in very good shape, geartrain with good life left on it, I would put it on Craigslist for $500 and would be happy to end up with about $400.

IIRC, that is a pretty decent hardtail frame and easily builds up to 24-25 lbs.

$150

I'm pretty cheap when it comes to used bikes. I agree with Phantoj.
