Anyone doing a July 4th ride?
I'm still deciding on where I'm gonna ride....maybe I'll finally sneak over to FW and putter around the Trinity Trail System (unless I hear from you folks over there about it being a madhouse like WR on the weekends).

The Spouse is working and THE GIRL will be off with her young man.
That leaves me free to go places I haven't been.

Any Suggestions?

I'm in Lewisville and was also looking for some kind of organized ride on the 4th.

The group that I associated with is planning on riding from Hicks on Saturday morning. Not sure of time yet, but would plan on early.

Current plan is to ride 30-50 mi.

I'm figuring to do the normal bike shop route...guess I ought to check if it's still on.

Hills usually cut my avg speed down around 11-12 mph. Anyone else poking along at my speed out there?

Meh...it figures that the one Saturday I have off and am able to contemplate doing a LBS ride, I don't fit any of the categories. The speed is right for the "beginner" rides, but I usually like to ride 25 - 30 miles or more. The other rides have distances I like....but I'll be dropped like a hot rock for the duration. (stamina I got...speed-not so much)

Trinity trails is looking better if it's not too crowded.

I might be up for a less than thundering herd type of slow meander around the area. So far I haven't been informed I haven't been informed I have any plans yet.
