Maybe I'm reading too much into the TT, but McGee beat Millar by 23 seconds. I mean, I know he's in good form and all but that's a lot of time to put on a specialist like Millar. David may have been ill for all I know.

FDJeux is having a great race by the way.

Since the Confidis Scandal broke, they are all off the needle at the present time. Just a jolke

Then again McGee rode like an animal in the Giro, he is clearly taking his training very seriously. He wrote a letter to the media about how he was tired of being labled a doper like the rest of the pros, and made an offer to anyone who wanted to come and live with him and see how he ate and trained. Apparently he recieved hundreds of responses! HAHA! One of the editors of Procycling took him up on it. I was reading the article a few days ago.

A lot of the Aussie pro's came from the Countries Track racing program, which has been setting world records and raising a lot of eyebrows. Several days ago Scandal broke out, with one of them being banned for life, and 5 others not going to the Olympics after being caught with Horse Hormones. Shame!

Then again McGee rode like an animal in the Giro,

I'll second that.
Here's 1 vote for McGee in the Tour Prologue again.

One would not expect Millar to lose to McGee in a TT of that length, but he has been having some physical problems of late. He had an eczema type skin rash in the Dauphine that was aggravated by exposure to the sun, so he had to wear a long sleeve jersey for at least part of the race. I think he also had another injury earlier in the year that affected his training. Then there was the lack of racing because of the whole "Cofidis affair".

And of course, McGee is having a good year.

Taking Millar out of the picture, still an excellent ride by McGee, in a time trial of that length.
And it looks like he has held on in the difficult final stage. :)
