Hi,
I'm going to be traveling to Kyoto (Japan) in about 10 days and spending 4 or 5 days in the area with my family. I'd like to rent a bike for at least a day - either to explore the town, or take some longer rides into the country.
I have just done a quick search and see a number of options, and I can check w/my hotel when I arrive, too -- but I thought someone here might have recommendations on:
- Good place to rent a bike (I have no Japanese language skills, but have learned how to smile in many languages)
- Any guides to local routes that are interesting?
I'm assuming that if all I can find is a basic folder or cruiser I'd stick to the city - but if there is a place to rent a "good" bike I'd love to take a longer ride...
Thanks,
BB
