Hey Everyone,

I was wanting to see if anyone knew what my classic Schwinn bicycle is worth these days. Any suggesstions would be much appreciated. it is in great condition for being so old and has been inside a garage for most of it's life. A few scratches and a little rust but nothing that can't be repaired.

Thanks a ton,

Mattis

Late fifties/early sixties Speedster in "Radiant Red". What's the serial number?

I had a 1965 Heavy Duti, same basic bike. I'd put that at 1963-1966. The reds were extremely susceptible to fading, so you'd need to wax it with something like Kit paste or something after you treat the rust.

I'd treat it with WalMart Rust Remover, then touchup, but I prefer them "worn." Then a couple of coats/rubs with the paste wax and go riding.
