half-links were originally made for chains that barely wouldnt fit.... they also look alot cooler and they help for the smaller ratios

I was running a K710-SL, but I snapped it at the park this weekend. I have no idea what's on now.

You probably should have gotten something different. I've heard that the Shadow chains stretch really badly.

You broke that 710sl you had on
My Shadow is still running strong and smooth
I guess all the times I snapped it could have been the weak links

Oh It did stretch some after 20 hrs of riding

No. Only certain half-link chains work with smaller ratios (for example, the original Shadow Interlock won't work with a 9-or-8-tooth driver), and they only help if you're trying to get your chain to a specific length.

Yes I broke my 710sl. I was very depressed. Until I realized I had 2 spare chains in my toolbox.

I NEED A PARK CT-3 CHAINBREAKER. BADLY. I can't stand breaking a Wal-Mart chainbreak every time I want to take a link out or put a link in.

i dont even use a chain breaker. i just use a grinder and grind the pin down and then punch it out...

I've done that before too, but it was a pain in the *****. Chain breakers are definitely easier.

all right thanks i keep learning and learning but im tryin to say that now a days the 1s with the rounded side plates will work better with the smaller ratios
