Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Here's how I picked my GF up from a Station in London last weekend :-

Strap cheap sack truck onto my Strida's rack (see credit crunch trailer)

Strap folded Brommie onto that

Meet Glenda, she rode the Brommie, I strapped her bag onto the trailer.

See! I know how to treat a girl!

She must REALLY love you kid.

Else you'd be gone in a minute for showing up in public with that outfit.

You should have collected her on the rickshaw.

You must really love her, because you gave her the Brompton!

Because he did not pick her up on this http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=555751
and instead made her pedal like a mad girl.

Good move! I hope you don't mind if I borrow your idea from time to time...

Folders + trailer is great. We are touring on folders later this summer, luggage + dog in the trailer. Hope your GF adapts.

What's wrong with a taxi?

Nothing if it's a pedicab or free!

Great use of creativity, Chop!

Personally, I would have a hard time with a woman that didn't like to ride a bike.

Luckily, my wife of 43 years loves riding. We bought our first bikes before we got married (Schwinn Collegiate, 5-Speeds). Now on our 5th and 6th sets.

To keep living; keep pedaling!

By all means use my idea, but once you drop the other folder off, use a luggage elastic from underneath to pull the load carrying platform in such a way that it stays at 90 degrees, otherwise if it moves while going over bumps, the wheels will fold! It did it twice in Kensington High Street! Very embarrassing :o
