Hi... I just joined up.
I have a 10 year old Mongoose Rockadile with Tioga Psycho TT tires (26 x 1.95).
These are pretty aggressive tires and are also 10 years old, but no where near worn out. The bike has been hanging in my garage most of those 10 years.
I'm looking for a less aggressive tire for pavement riding, yet still aggressive enough to ride on trails.
Any suggestions?
Any good web sites?
Thanks,

Avalable with kevlar bead or wire bead.
So smooth when you are riding straight, you forget they have knobs.
And they have a rounded profile (unlike many offroad tires with tall knobs on the shoulder) so they corner better than most on pavement.
I've been rockin' Kenda Smallblock 8's for a couple years now and love them to death, man. They are sooo light and zero resistance. Fastest MTB tire I've owned.

I'm using Racing Ralph for exactly the same purpose :thumb:

Maxxis Ridgeline is good for offroad and are durable and roll smooth. not sure on noise as my front tire makes enough to drowned out any noise it makes

Any recommendations on:
- Seats? (Not much extra meat on my *****)... I do get a bit saddle sore.
Been eyeing this one (http://www.performancebike.com/bikes/Product_10052_10551_1032588_-1_38000_20000_38003).
- Tubes?
Anyone had any experience with the "Slime" self healing tubes?
Thanks,

Found out that I was lucky enough to have several Performance Bike shops in my area. They didn't have the Fortes recommended... guess they are on-line only... old series... but got hooked up with a set of Forte Greenway Kevlars for $16.99/ea minus 15%. They also recommended against the Slime tubes, so went with a set of traditional (puncture resistant) tubes... pretty cheap... $4.50/ea. minus 15%.
Thanks for all your help. Now I just need to get my sit bones in shape for the summer.
