Anyone know if I can attach a Burley Piccolo - or, for that matter, any TAB - to a Bike Friday tandem? I'm planning on being captain, with my 7 year old as the stoker and my 6 year old on the TAB. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Don't know about a bike friday, but I do that with my trek tandem and a tab. Works great...

We ride a Raleigh Coupe tandem with a TAB behind it. We had an Adams TAB and recently upgraded it to a Piccolo. The Adams TAB is junk compared to the Piccolo and if you can make the Piccolo work, go for it as first choice. The Piccolo requires you use Burley's Moose rack to mount it. The Moose rack is heavy steel and difficult to modify if you cannot use a standard rack (disc rear brake) as is our situation. I cold set the Moose rack wider, then used a 3/8 inch axel spacer to shim out the left side of the rack mount to give clearance for the brake. I probably voided any warranty on the Burley setup, but this was the only way I could make it work. The Moose rack is pretty versatile and if you have rear rack mounts on the seat stays, it probably will mount easily as standard if you do not have rear disc brakes.
We ride significant distances on our poor-man's "triplet" (as much as 70 miles in a day) and have no problems except my little one at the rear (4 years old) has fallen asleep at the wheel once. He just closed his eyes and held on until I realized he was no longer answering questions. A wake up and the promise of ice cream at the end kept him pumping the rest of the ride that day.
