This may have been addressed though I can't find it anywhere. In several posts, I have noted that riders have some stomach upset problems when eating bars, etc. Is there any particular reason for this? Any product to avoid or that is easier to digest? I was just going to try the various ones; Cliff, etc.

Thanks,

Sheldon

I eat cliff bars after 2 hours on hard rides i like em, everyone is differant, you have to eat differant things till you find what works for you. i use carbs for 1st 2 hours then i add protien.

One thing that can help is not to gobble the bar while in the saddle or take off immediately after eating it. Make it a rest stop. Get off the bike, stretch a little, eat the bar, along with plenty of water taken a little at a time (with some bars it's the only way you can wash the darn things down!). Stretch a bit again and then ride away slowly, gradually picking up speed until you're back on your pace.
