Hey everyone,

anyone in northwest austin/cedar park area that rides daily? i'm in dallas during the week, doing rides in the morning around white rock lake, but occasionally i'll be in austin/cedar park some weekdays and weekends. i've only rode around the neighborhoods up here, but thats not really good for the usual pace that i'm used to at white rock.

are there any routes up here (around 183/620 - el salido - anderson mill) that people do in the mornings? i'm considering trying out a route that goes down el salido, and take anderson mill (i think its volente at that point), and riding that til the left turn for where the sign says 6 miles til volente beach. seems like that might be a decent ~20 miles to and back, and wouldn't be terribly busy with traffic.

i'd be interested to hear what other people are doing in this area.

thanks!
-josh

the only dodgy part was coming back on andersonmill/volente - just more traffic than i would have liked. only saw 3 cars on lime creek though, so that part was awesome.

I ride up Parmer often not too exciting but a nice out and back ride.

+1 for parmer. I have a loop that goes 1431 to parmer to 29 and then down 1460 back to 1431. It is fun, and the only part sans shoulder is on 1460 which is pretty rural.
