A Fort Collins mom is being charged with sexually assaulting a boy who police allege in an arrest affidavit she met at social gatherings for people who dress up like animals and call themselves "furries."

Police say 45-year-old Richael Michels had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old boy she met in March at a furry gathering.

Wrong how, were they dressed as different species or something?

To build their case, police used an individual - whose identity and relationship to Michels is not clear because the document is heavily redacted - to send text and online messages to Michels, who had the nickname "Kitteh."
