I picked up this road bike yesterday for $6.00. It had the frame, forks, handlebars and seat w/ seat post rims and tires ( but the rims and tires are trash ). I can't find anything on this bike. I went to Kent Bicycles website and it seems like they just make cheap bikes. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew about this road bike or possibly the year.. I am thinking 80s?? It's in really good shape and just want to learn or know more about it. Thanks!

Its your basic department store (cheap) bike of that era. The plus is the lugged frame, but most likely gas pipe. If you have the parts in hand to put it back together, it should be a good rider.

If you want to know the year, the best way is to look up the component codes on anything you believe is original. See the vintage Trek site for more details.
