These wheels came off a gitane...i was wondering if anyone could tell me what the model of the rims and hubs are and if they are worth anything.

try posting to the correct subforum as those are clearly not track wheels, try classic + vintage

Of course those are not track wheels....

The hubs are Campagnolo Tipo. Not as nice as Record, but still pretty good. If off a Gitane, there is a chance that the freewheel threading is French, which is 34.7mm X 1. English thread would be 1.37 X 24, same as a lockring for an English BB adjustable side. If you get the FW off, look on the hub for markings--on a hub of that vintage it's a matter of observing how many rings are cut into the shoulder over the FW threads. The locknuts may have the date of manufacture stamped on the inside (you'd have to remove one to see).

The rims are most likely CRAP. If they aren't required for your 100 point restoration, don't use them. Give them to someone with a Weinmann sew-up fetish if you want to use the hubs in another application.
