Mountain Biking - Broke my Seat Tube on my small 03 GT avalanche 1.0 (dumbass)

So the other day I was trail riding with a friend, he was riding my Gt (the frame is so small we have to raise the seatpost insanely high past the max limit, yea dumbass decision) and the seat tube snapped.

I can still put the seat post in fine and it will clamp down just fine, but the damn thing is snapped.

WWYD (what would you do)?

I want to buy this KHS Montana frame from 93 (i love vintage mtb's) with a load of stickers on it , yet i bet the SP is a 26.8.

TIG it with the seat post in place to ensure it is straight.

the post is straight, and it goes in straight when it is in correctly (below the max limit)

Doesn't look like there's enough seat tube above the weld to cut off the damaged portion. If there is, you could do that and then slot the remaining stubby piece of seat tube down to the weld. Then file off the lip on your seat QR clamp and slide it down. Kind of ghetto, but you asked.
Or just buy the frame.

JB weld, duct tape and bailing wire have worked for me in the past...
