A couple of questions about a tandem rack. I have a Yakima roof rack system (2 crossbars and 2 "lockjaw" racks/trays)atop a pop-up trailer to haul 2 single bikes. I also want to add a rack to haul a tandem. Two questions: Does anyone manufacture a tandem rack/tray compatible with my Yakima crossbars that does not require front wheel removal and instead secure both wheels upright in the rack/trays? Also, if I do have to use a tandem rack/tray and remove the front wheel (such as a Rocky Mount), where exactly on my Cannondale MT 900 tandem is the quick release on the front brake to enable me to remove the front wheel? I can't locate it! Thanks.

What kind of brakes do you have on your tandem? V-Brakes? This will help us help you figure this out, or just run to a shop, im sure they can take a few seconds to show you how to do this.

Regarding the upright tandem rack: Yakima sell extra long wheel trays. if you have sufficient spread on your cross bars you can just replace the tray for one of your LockJaw racks with an extra long one.
