I found an old bike today. It is marked "world" on the head badge. The down tube is marked "World" in gold lettering. It has a tank that opens on the right side. A leather seat with exposed springs. There is a round can attached to the down tube also. There is an old time siren attached to the handle bars. The bike is black with red trim on the tank & top tube & headset. The bike is complete except the tires are missing, wheels look to be 26". Anyone have an idea what I bought? Could it be an early Schwinn ?

I have heard of a Schwinn " New World" . Sounds 30s . Look for anything stamped " AS" , Arnold Schwinn.

Ooo! This could be a good one. Sounds like pre-1930 with that type of tank, the "round can", siren, etc.
Have a look in our Picture Database at cycles from 1900 to the mid 1930s.
