Great Lakes - July 11th and 12th

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Check this (http://wildcardcycling.org/index.php/site/tour_de_champaign/) out. Should be a great weekend of racing in a University Town. Downtown crit is right around the bars so after the race you can get the proper recovery drink. Enjoy music later that day at the street festival in the same area. The following day the race is held next to the UofI Research Park. Road should be great and the prize money even better.
Come bring back Bike Racing to the city of Champaign like it was years ago!

It looks like a good race but you've got some tough competition with ICC: Blue Island & Elgin, both have more racing and are closer to home (Chicago).

F- that! I'm going to Champaign instead of the IL superweek races.
Costs less. Less competition. More money. And as long as it isn't run by the Garrison brothers, it's also run a lot better.

Champaign race report, day 2. 27mph. Easy. Caught behind 2 people who almost crashed out in the final sprint. 2 man break stuck.
Still in the money.

I stopped by the TdC on my way back from Mt. Vernon yesterday. Caught the Cat 3 race where the young guy from Verizon won.
