So I have 2004 Gary Fisher Marlin.
When I ride it on the road (as I do about 2-4 times during the week, when I can't get to trails), the back tire/gears/chain/something back here, starts to make an annoying noise when the speed increases. I can't really describe it, just the sound of friction.
Also, sometimes when going down hills I hear noises on the front wheel too, and can feel friction in the handle bars through my hands.
I only get the problem when going fast. Is it normal, as mountian bikes aren't meant to be speedy road bikes?
I am wondering if my LBS (a Bike Line) may have not tuned it right. I am suspicious of some of their staff's talent...(my seat post broke on the FOURTH ride ever, and they replaced it for free, but forgot to put the back reflector back on the bike I just realized).
Sigh.
