Road Cycling - Photoshop fun

This photo was taken near Calabogie, Ontario. I was making my way up a grueling climb when all of a sudden some dude in a yellow jersey dropped my butt, I tried to catch him but he was too quick and strong. He must have been some professional rider or something?

that's pretty good. i like the other guy in yellow though - in the back. he looks like he's really struggling there. either that or intoxicated :eek:

Interesting weather pattern you have there where Lance is in the sun and you are under overcast - yet you're separated by only a few feet! :)

It's all fun.

hahahaha! That guy in the back is my uncle! Yeah he was struggling, but he's been riding pretty consistently ever since that shot was taken, I think it was taken last year. In that part of Ontario, Canada there are some really nice scenic routes.

Interesting weather pattern you have there where Lance is in the sun and you are under overcast - yet you're separated by only a few feet! :)

It's all fun.

LOL. Great! Put that mask so it doesn't paste the stuff between LA's bodyt and his bike and you've got a flawless recreation of the time you almost caught Lance...

PS Looks like LA was working a lot harder than you were. i think you could have smoked him of you had tried... :)

I'd be near the melting point wearing a jacket up a climb like that.

"First cut is the deepest, baby I know" is what I heard Lance yelling to me when he flew by me. So I yelled back "All I wanna do, is have some fun!" I don't think he heard me because by the time I was able to catch my breath and yell it, he had already made it up the mountain.

That guy is my uncle! LOL! To give him credit I remember it being kinda cold that morning.

I think the look on my face is more a wince than a smile.

Also, it's interesting how Lance appears to be going downhill on this climb. Man, is he strong or what?

If Lance pedaled with one leg, I still would not be able to catch up to him! :)

The more I look at this the funnier it gets. There are 3 very different stories being told here and the various facial expressions with corresponding body language make for a very "deep" image. Now, if you could add a child on a trike behind your uncle.....

you're right it is funny. i've looked at it a few times today and it's made me laugh each time. thanks for posting pauly!! this is good stuff for when you work in an office and have to look at a computer all day anyway. :)

Yeah he turned around... Then I yelled " Hey, is that Jan Ulrich next to you?" Then he started crying and pulled over to the side of the road and got into his Subaru which was being driven by Sheryl Crow.
