Got in touch with the bike shop this afternoon.....my bike came in yesterday but the wheels and other items did not.....didn't make it in today, either.

Nothing to ride....I mean pedal until Tuesday (gotta work Monday) at least.

One the good side...my wife and I ordered some bike shorts that did come in the mail today. Hers look pretty hot...got to brag on her a little. She'll be quite inspiring if she'll ride just a bit ahead of me....not too far, mind you....:) Gal is something else....41 going on 21. I've got some serious catching up to do.

Oh well.....looks like she and my son will ride this weekend....I get to drive them and then hoof it on the trails. Gotta sweat out these Rum and Diet cokes we're gonna enjoy over the weekend.

Rum and DIET coke? :(

I think I know what the problem is. Bad Karma.

Do yourself a favor and get some bottles of Mexican Coca Cola to go with your rum. Mexican Coke still uses sugar instead of corn syrup. Tastes better and the rum is going to add empty calories anyway (even light rum) so you might as well just enjoy your drinks and cut calories somewhere else.

Find balance Grasshopper. Enjoy your drinks in moderation. Cut calories somewhere else. Improve your karma and good things will come to you.

Call me sick....but.....I love Diet Coke with my rum.

Diet Coke is just about the only soft drink that I drink. I'm mainly a water drinker....sevaral bottles each day.

I do start out most work days with 2 cups of coffee.....water throughout the day.....a Diet coke or maybe two.....more water to wind things up.

It's an permissable sin.:D

Actually, from what I remember from a few years ago, diet coke is da bomb for R&C. Something about the artificial sweetener makes the alcohol kick harder or sum shizat like that. I wouldn't know myself, I don't drink alcohol, but that's what I remember.
