So im looking to buy some rims and was looking on this website http://www.universalcycles.com/shopping/product_details.php?id=31383 and it says rims, but was wondering do rims usually sell as a set or separate. every other website just says rim for the same price, so i got a little confused and was just wondering if that specific website meant rim and accidentally put rims as the description. Thanks, I need a fresh pair of eyes to look at the situation.

Rims are only the outer hoop of the wheel. Wheels are the whole thing--rim, spokes, hubs--all put together.

In your example, you'll note that there's no mention of hubs or spokes, but there is detail on what you need to choose spokes--ERD.

Thus, it's not a misprint. They are talking about only the rim, not a built-up, ready-to-ride wheel.

EDIT: Oh, and only one, not a pair.

The website offers CR-18 rims for sale which they sell one-at-a-time.
