Tandem Cycling - Bob Yak 28 trailer on a Co-Motion Speedster?

Hi,
We are looking at buying a Bob Yak 28 trailer. While it is main function will be utilitarian (hauling groceries, etc.) I wanted to make sure that it also fits our 2004-5 Co-Motion Speedster Co-Pilot.
The literature states it will fit hubs spaced at 140mm. Isn't a standard tandem hub 145 mm? (I can't find any confirmation whether it is 140 or 145 mm)

Have you tried asking on the BoB forum at http://www.bobgear.com/bobtalk/ ?
I know you can flip the bobbins around to allow for varying hub widths, but you'd probably get better info from the guys at BoB about that sort of thing.

I looked around but didn't find an answer. What I am really asking is if the CoMotion is space at 140 or 145 mm and if it is 145, does that cause a problem since the trailer is speced for 140mm or less?

There's enough flex in the trailer fork that you should be able to get it to fit with just a little persuasion, just make sure the wheel is still centered in the fork once you're done.

As Marrock said, it will fit a 145mm hub but it does take a little persuasion. It's not bad, though, pretty easy to get on and off.
I use my BOB Yak on my 145mm spaced Cannondale and have used it both off road (on the single) and on.
I bought the BOB for my single bike way back when and its skewer is too small for a tandem. I bought the tandem skewer separate and it fits the 145 spacing just fine, too. Guess I'm trying to say make sure you get the right size skewer while you're at it.

Or just get the BoB Nutz that fit your axle if you don't use a QR.
