My wife has coccyx pain that is seriously aggrevated when she rides. There are 5 or 6 saddles out there designed for riders with coccyx pain, i just need to know which one is the best.

We can't tell you, she can when she tries them out.

My wife is 67 and has had problems with coccyx pain with various bike saddles. Last year I picked up a Bontrager Cruiser CRZ+ saddle and had her try it on her "Comfort" bike. After one ride she loved it. So I picked up a second one for her Hybrid bike. With this saddle she will do 40 to 50 mile rides with no discomfort.

Make sure she is not sitting too far forward on the saddle. Adjustment of handlebar height/reach/angle may help.

I broke my tailbone a few years back and have chronic pain in my coccyx when sitting for long times are there any actual road saddles made for this kind of thing?

Essorcal, I injured my tailbone and was left with chronic pain several years ago. I thought my riding days were over until I discovered the Anatomic Relief Saddle made by Planet Bike <www.planetbike.com> . I prefer the A.R.S. men's classic. It's a road saddle with a cut-out at the back. Another good saddle (but heavier than the A.R.S.) is the Specialized Body Geometry saddle.

Awesome thanks so much man!! I know what you're talking about, long rides are extraordinarily painful. I'll definitely have to try one of these out

I'd imagine a saddle with a cut-out down the middle would be less painful. I ride Terry's which have these. One Fly and a Fly Gel.
Good luck to the Missus.
