This sounds worse than the sore itself.

on my cross country tour last summer there were 2 instances where I didn't think I was going to be able to go on due to large saddle sores.
not to get too graphic, but I just "popped" them myself, washed well and applied antibacterial ointment. took a few days to heal, and was a tad (okay, more than a tad) uncomfortable.
these 2 instances came up when I ran out of Chamois Butt'r - now I use Bag Balm and am happy as a clam with it.

No, I haven't
Sounds like a cyst? I had one on my thigh that took forever to heel, and left a whopping scar.
My doctor said that squeezing sores/pimples results in hard scar-tissue developing, therefore
encouraging a cyst to develop underneath the skin.
I sometimes put pimple cream on my sores, which works ok, but when they get
really bad (picture this :D..... ) I sit in a small tub with 2 inches of hot salty water for
about 15 minutes -- works miracles!

I had a fairly deep cyst in my scrotum as a result of saddle pressure. The doc lanced it. It was a painless procedure (but you have to trust your doc). Aftercare includes good hygene and stay off the bike until it heals. Any scar tissue may cause problems so you need a clean heal.
If you have a deep boil then stay off the bike. Apply heat treatment and powerful antibiotic cream. Keep it clean and dry.

saddle sores are often a classic sign of overtraining
if you have to ride with a sore, keep the area as clean as possible, use antiseptic creams.
Unpleasant, and annoying.
To avoid them always clean shorts, with chamois cream or vaseline is a good substitute
