Bicycle Mechanics - axle cones

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hi,
I am new to the forum - thanks for having me.
I am working on a recubent trike and have a very hard time finding some parts.
In particular I am looking for axle cones in 3/8 24T (as part of a jackshaft)
Any ideas where to find them (besides stealing them off little kids bikes)?
Thanks,
Wolfgang

Any bike shop can get them using the aforementioned Quality catalog (OR Hawley, BTI, UBP and others.)

I don't know if they have what you need, but I'd be surprised if they don't. They stock oodles of small and esoteric parts.
Hi,
thanks for all the input but I gave up on the 3/8 x 24T cones and just created a long 3/8 x 26T axle by welding 2 together - it's even straight.
Thanks again.
