Does the 705 do auto power smoothing? My buddy who is smaller and a slower sprinter then me was telling me he sees 1100+watts during sprints on his powertap head unit all the time. Looking at my data, typically I only see 850-900watts. Anyone know if its data smoothing or am I just weak?

Probably just weak :p

Note that the "peak" power output is not necessarily very meaningful, that only corresponds to the jump, and there are some issues with the peak power and how the PT samples. What matters more is the average power over the sprint duration, or at least over 5 seconds. You should compare your peak 5s, 10s, and 15s. Also one of you may be in a draft.
