I really didn't expect anything interesting to happen. Should have realized there was a decent crosswind when I saw the 4 breakaway guys echeloning.

This happened in 2007 when Astana(powered by Vinokourov) split the peloton and left Moreau behind.
The camera showed the gap just when it formed. Moreau ten yards off the back and couldn't regroup. And the gap just got bigger.
