So the Bos incident gets press, but some nobody swinging at Cavendish while doing 35 mph doesn't?

Happens somewhat often. No one went down, no big deal.

I thought it was pretty insane. From what Cavendish said, the other rider knocked into his bars and then he pushed him away.

They need to HTFU! Biking is a contact sport!

I saw the video. Honestly, it was pretty aggressive. I am really surprised nobody went down even with top notch bike handling skills those particular riders have.

To RichinPeoria, it's not arrogance if you can do it, and Cavendish can sure as hell do it. He's won something like 85% of his sprints this year. The respect and gratitude he shows to his team after every victory says a lot IMO.

Yeah he can back it up but remarks like calling the rest "Jr racers" is going too far. It's those type of remarks that make me dislike the guy. He's going to regret that one at some point in this tour.

I saw Cavendish getting bumped then giving it right back. Track experience most helpful. Robbie McEwen would've done the same thing; then at the finish line tracked him down and beat the crap out of him.

It seemed on Stage 3 the other sprinters were too scared to come out and race so Columbia just popped open a can of whoop ass on most of the peleton. Awesome.

Cavendish has made a few regrettable remarks but this past year he's been much more polite and diplomatic. And he's what, 24 years old, the fastest sprinter in the world and getting faster.

There is no comparison between the two incidents.

He usually congratulates and thanks his teammates first after he wins. He gives them a lot of credit. Personally I am big fan of the kid, he is awesome and fun to watch.

I miss McEwen...

If Cav can dominate the sprints by jumping ship onto other trains and doing the crazy crap that robbie did, then he might become my favorite with robbie. Till then, it's McEwen.

Do you have a link? They mentioned the "jr racers" comment on VS this morning, but I haven't been able to find the whole quote.

He definitely says some bonehead things sometimes, but, like I said, I think the respect he shows his teammates sort of balances out.

It really looks like the skil-shimano rider was drifting back and getting in Cav's way and Cav just put a hand out to the dude's hip to push him off a little.

He wasn't happy about that and pushed back harder.

1) His hands stayed on the bars (EDIT: oops i only saw the Versus replay from yesterday, guess there was more to it)
2) He roughly kept his line (though his center of mass didn't)
3) He looked like an elephant seal pummeling it's foe and made me lol
