I got the hand-built wheelset last night and completed my Ritchey Breakaway build. She's my new primary winter commuter, light trail bike, and part time road bike. Some stats:
Steel breakaway 60cm frame, that pulls apart for travel
Suitcase and padding for packing bike
FSA front derailleur and compact crank
Easton carbon bars and alloy stem
Tektra brake levers and cantilever brakes
Ritchey WCS hubs with Salsa CX rims, hand built, 32H
SRAM 970 9 speed cassette 11-32T
SRAM chain
Ritchey headset
DA bar end shifters

very cool.
Looks like a fun one to ride.
Looks great. How about a couple of pictures of it broken down or in the process of breaking down for travel if it's not to much trouble. How long does it take to break it down and put it back together?

It was reasonably easy to assemble the first time. I expect packing will take 15 minutes. Here is their video:

Careful, I think that's TR's daughter. I've got a 56cm in Magenta. OK it's PINK! But that was the cheapest deal I could find a few years ago, and it's cool with light blue bar tape. I also use barcons, I routed the shift cables all the way around to emerge from the center of the bar, it's a neater routing and done carefully with Shimano housing I've noticed no shifting issues- it's also better for packing as the cables are better protected against getting kinked in the box. Mine's been to several continents for business travel and holidays, out of town road races (a little heavy, and the fork a bit stout and handling a bit quicker with 25c tires) and Cross races as well as some light weekend touring with panniers- no complaints. I just got nailed for the first time for an oversize baggage charge on AirTran at Dulles- it's officially over their (new and reduced) 62in limit by 2 inches- they pulled a tape measure and I was running too late to argue (they knew that)- but just $15 on top of the $15 they already charge for all checked bags. Just don't say it's a bike, call it sporting goods or something or they'll get you for $50 no matter the size of the case. I've found it a very comfortable bike for longer road rides, and goes on gravel or pavement just fine with 28c's. I used to travel with 2 sets of tires, but no longer, the Conti GP 4 seasons work OK for just about anything, or 32c Panaracer Pasela TGs for developing country trips. Packing a 60cm in 15 mins will be impressive, more like 25-30 by the time you wrap all the tubes in foam, get all the lumps down to a minimum etc. Travel with an extra pair of pre-cut cables, they can pop out of the connectors, not fun while traveling and be sure your canti's are a style easily adjusted with the tools you carry, they get bumped around in transit (Tektro CR 720's are cheap and work well, adjusted with a single 5mm hex tool). Don't overtorque the downtube clamp, less is more, it holds just fine. Catch you on the W&OD some time- wave to your Pink lil' brother...

not to hijack the thread, but if anyone is interested, I'm selling this same frame but in a size 54cm. It is brand new, never built up or ridden. PM for details
