Professional Cycling - TdF stages...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

just got around to checking out all of the stage profiles in order to mark my calendar for the "selection days" and i have to say i am a bit disappointed. no alp d'huez, only two HC mountain top finishes, no mountain ITT. seems like there are a lot of stages with multiple cat 1 climbs, so hopefully the climbers will race them hard and force the selection. i do like the ventoux finish a day before the race finish! but i really wish there was alp d'huez and a especially a mountain ITT... that makes for the best tv and shake up in GC IMHO.

yeah, it kinda bites. especially with no alpe d'huez, but Mont ventoux is waiting...

alpe d'huez is overrated. Ventoux is a much better and harder climb.

i'll take the ventoux any day over alpe d'huez to watch pure, unadulterated suffering
and to create/amplify time gaps.
