i've always enjoyed oogling over the newest sweet bike stuff being used in the tour. riders aside, what bikes/parts have you all excited?
what got me starting to think about it were the white spokes/hubs on the wheelsets being used by Team Milram on their Focus's (Foci?)
Also the new Cervelo P4's are pretty nuts with their integrated bottle and hidden rear brake (i tried to find a good picture of the brake from the bottom but have been unsuccessful so far!)

I've always been partial to black and blue colors. I want a Colnago EPS like that.

This and the Madone are my favorites.
Do any of you have a link to a website that shows the listy of teams in this year's Tour, with pics of their bikes and other equipment?
Iv been out of the loop and there are SOOO many new brands and sticker plastered stuff, I cant tell whats what, let alone determine whats the good stuff and whats the bad.
I figure Ill start with what looks good and go from there LOL. Plus, if they are using it in the Tour it has to be half decent right?

The P4 is fugly without the bottle (as it must be ridden in accordance with UCI rules).
Now the new Specialized TT bikes are sweet, but nothing on their web sight hints at a production run. :(

That's interesting. For a sprinter Cavendish doesn't look that tall judging by his frame size. I wonder how tall he is? Or how big his frame is?

That bike honestly, hating aside, looks like mid to late nineties compared to other current TT bikes.
Just saying.

No kidding, man. Why must modern bikes look like NASCAR rejects?

Whats more NASCAR? Gaudy paint schemes, or clinging to out-dated technology?

It's the visual effect. New bikes ride fine, but a lot of them are just plain ugly. Especially TT bikes (like that P4).
I don't think its the new bikes that are ugly, covering anything with advertising makes it look bad.

haha, i don't know if that's 'hating aside' what do you mean mid-late 90's? what about it? in the 90's there were no super-deep carbon wheels, no crazy headtube (i don't even know what that's called now), certainly no aero tubing from the TT bars down to the top tube, no carbon cranks,

I believe he rides a 52cm. It was in the Velonews article.

That P4 would be ugly under any circumstance.
cavendish is a d-bag. he should use some of his sprint winnings to get some braces, or stop being so pompous.

Doesn't matter to me that he's a d-bag -- only that he's the fastest d-bag out there and fun to watch.
BTW, to the posts about his size above, he also rides with 40cm bars and 170mm cranks and supposedly looks in the mirror regularly and thinks to himself how the fiddle faddle is a bloke like me the fastest sprinter in the world -- thereby giving hope to underdogs everywhere and exploding the American sports hero myth that you also have to be big and muscley to be fast.

Somehow I doubt it looks that way to the wind tunnel!
