I applaud the destination pics with all the Frank Lloyd Wright houses...it's a nice way to show off the bike, as well as some lovely Prairie-Style houses I hadn't seen much of.

As promised - a few shots; some 'before' and two after. Hope to take some more 'proper' ones - ie not with the camera phone when it gets to france and is pummelled around the country roads by mon petit Maman next week.
I had a wee test drive last week down at the park before deciding to lose the chaincase (warped and impossible to fit without scraping/clanking). It's a bit hairy - I'd not really thought about the way you don't balance on a trike, and how you are a slave to whatever the camber of the road is. I'm sure you get used to it. Got new cranks and a proper chainguard instead, and a derailleur that didn't have a bent cage.

Rear basket is possibly the coolest buy for it - it's an off-the peg IKEA thing - but it fits perfectly and even has holes so it can be bungied on.

This thing weighs something though - I'd reckon on about 2,000,000 times as much as the Brompton. Maybe more.... Ok so maybe not, but definitely more than 25 kilos.
And the rear axle could do with a differential. The turning circle is pretty dire!

I'll stop filling this forum with trike nonsense now. Though it does think it's a Hon Solo. So maybe that counts? Oh and the brake levers are off my Twenty.

Test fitting of first new bits - new seatpost and Brooks B-can't-remember (the springy one).
This was nearly three years ago. Oops.

Finally being rebuilt. Yes I did put the bell on before the bottom bracket.
What d'ya think of the colour?

And finished! Not much left that's old apart from the bespoke bits that can't be replaced. The rear axle probably weighs about 4 kilos on it's own. Solid steel bar @ 14mm = heavy!
Ready to transport Brie, wine, baguettes and picnic blankets to your local field of choice.
