I'll be creating my own 10-spd sprocket set and would like some advice. I want to make it 11-28 but want some help with the teeth in between. I live in Colorado and do a lot of climbing, so I want to maintain both the high and low end...I open to suggestions!

Take a look at what Harris Cyclery sells for some suggestions: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/harris/k7.html

gearing is something i tend to think about a lot, so here's my take:

11, 12, 13, 15, || 17, 19, || 21, 23, 25/26, 28.

that's how i'd do it, given your perameters. on the higher gears, it's harder to notice a one tooth difference when you're spinning away and your legs are screaming and you just want some sweet relief...., so the ranges can be wider, i think so anyway...i notice on my last ride that the difference between 21 and 23 was....not as significant as i'd have liked it to be at some points.

i can't decide between 25 and 26...on the one hand, a 25 might be just the ticket for a sudden surge, but on the other hand, the jump from 25 to 28 might be too large, and you'd end up losing some momentum. i have a 13-23 9 speed cassette on my bike and i usually jump down to 19 from 23 if i'm going to stand up to get around someone, but then i like to have that 21 in there as an intermediate gear, and leave the 23 for when i need to recover or when my legs are gonna give...

if it was something i was setting up for myself, i'd do it like this:

12, 13, 15, 16, || 17, || 19, 21, 23, 25, 28.

that gives me all of the steps i've come to know and love (gotta have the 16T in there...just...gotta), and i don't need an 11....i barely use my 13 now with a 48T big ring. hmm....maybe 13-28 will be my next cassette...or maybe 12-25...now you've got me thinking even MORE....
