Road Cycling - Motobecane Super Mirage

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have a chance to buy a Motobecane Super Mirage but we don't know what it's worth. The only other stuff written on the bike is: " built with 2040 High-resiliency tubing"; gears are "suntour V-GT LUXE";tires are "Panaracer Tour Guard Aramid 27 x 11 1/4" Other than Made in France, there is no other information. Can anyone tell us what it's worth?? 'Thanks

The bike is from the mid to late 70s and they originally sold for about $250. It is a basic steel bike and if in great shape it may be worth $50. Not a bad bike, but it is old.

The Super Mirage was my first "decent" bike. I'd pay $50 if the bike had no rust. I use 10-speeds as-is for errands and foul weather commuters. The Super Mirage would be ideal for that.
