I placed an order on June 27th. Their stated policy is that orders take 3-4 business days for "processing". It's now July 8th, and as far as I know, the order is still "processing". Calls to their customer service line were useless. I called, got a message saying all their reps were busy with other customers, so I left a message. I tried this four times throughout the day and got the same result. I got no call back. The only communication I've had is an email from them saying it may have been delayed due to the 4th of July holiday weekend. Now the holiday was indeed on a weekend, which should not affect their 3-4 "business" day processing in any way. It's been EIGHT business days.
When I finally had enough and decide to cancel the order, I log in and see that the order is "ready to ship". This is a nice little fine print scam. Their policy states that orders cannot be canceled when they have been shipped or are in "the final stages" of processing. They don't reveal how long the "final stages" of processing take.
So if you give a hoot about communication, feel that in the internet age "processing" shouldn't be a multi-week endeavor, think you deserve the courtesy of communication, DO NOT give this place your business. There's simply too many other choices out there, too many other internet bike shops and LBS's that can serve you better. Reading this and then giving Harborcountrybike your money is going out of your way to get abused.
Why can't company's just copy Harris Cyclery's model and do things right?

I'd dispute the charges and be prepared to refuse any packages if you've made sufficient efforts to contact them.
